The fighting between the sides seemed to have died down for a little while, though Demetrius knew it wouldnt last and he didnt want it to either. The younger Lycans seemed to think keeping on their toes at peaceful times was pointless, though as Demetrius pointed out, if you were never on your guard, you would be one of the first to die. He wasnt nice to the young Lycans, he was harsh and cruel, but it was the only way for them to stop making stupid mistakes. Demetrius had decided to take the sweep of Manchester alone tonight, he had told all the other Lycans to stay within the Manor, asides from a Select few or those who were already out of course. He had also banned the younglings from going anywhere without an older escort. The losses they served the other night to Rayne, Flynn and Cassell was stupendous, he had told them to sweep the city, if you see any Vampires then report back. Not go gallavanting after them. Demetrius had not been happy that night, and he didnt bother hiding it.
Lycans were supposed to be stronger than the Vampires, and yet the Vampires were having no trouble picking them off one by one, this, the Lycan Lord was not happy about and would be busting some heads when he got home. He had already run into four of his kinds mangeled bodies, he had ran into Vampires but made short work of them. The only Vampire Demetrius was concerned about was Alexandria, she was the only one who could take him down and he had no doubt as soon as the opportunity arrived, she would. Demetrius was fast losing his grip on this world as everywhere he turned, someone was already waiting for them. Time to up his battle tactics.
The wolf sniffed at the air, the white of his fur gleaming in the silver moonlight. Scratching his ear before he scaled down the side of the building, the dirty white beast landed on its hind legs, sniffing the air, being cautious. He edged forwards slightly, looking around the corner, his silver eyes catching something moving fast towards him. He moved out of the way and gave a howl as the Vampire slammed into the wall, seemingly dazed, Demetrius' paw went to the neck of the Vampire and crushed it, he was dead before he hit the ground. Too easy he thought to himself as he went through the forest, coming out at the side of the lake Demetri bent down and lapped up some of the water before sitting next to the lake, his dirty white fur reflecting the water's shine and the moon. Ears pricking as he heard a sound behind him, he knew it was a Lycan he could smell her. As the lycan cleared the forest, Demetrius spun around, gripping her arms with his huge paws, standing on his hind legs, he pinned her to the tree. His eyes were gleaming, though whether from the sheer fun of the night, or because of the moonlight, she wouldnt know.

It seemed this night was a never ending one. Sirena didn't care to much for the confinement of the four walls of the mansion. She was old enough, and definitely wise enough to take care of herself unlike the younger generations of Lycans. She had heard there was a lock down from another older Lycan which meant all the younglings had to do was sit there bored for the rest of the night. Luckily Sirena had managed to get out before she too was left to rot in the boredom that brewed in there. Besides, the younger ones were boring, feeble, and unknowledgeable. Sirena liked the company of intellectuals, and all it the babies seemed to talk about was 'getting wasted' and 'who was seeing who'. It was like a teenage drama with them about. The air surrounding the mansion for the last few days was heavy and thick, coming from Demetrius especially. It was common knowledge that a dozen or so of his lycan clan had been brutally murdered by the vampires, all down to that head vampire Alexandria, her right hand man Ranvier, and a youngling. It was no wonder Demetrius was seething with rage, and at least the elder members knew to stay clear of him when he was in this mood, or he’d kill you himself. A few rather smug younger ones had tried Demetrius’ patience the last few days, and they had to be taken away before their mansion walls were repainted with young Lycan blood. Foolish children.
Scowling the forest, she was on strict orders to report if any Vampires were seen, but unfortunately she had not caught even a glimpse of a vampire yet. Sirena was good at stalking. She had more flexible reflexes and had more of the body of a cat. She was a little smaller and leaner than other Lycans, but instead of making it a disadvantage, she made it her major. She could stalk out without even letting vampires know she was anywhere near, sure they would smell her, but in the right camouflage, she would not be spotted. She was pure black when in Lycan form, probably due to her hair colour and Heritage. Being from Hungary, you didn’t get many natural blondes. Sirena liked to play with vampires first. She liked to stalk them, pick them off one by one, and torture them for a while before eventually killing them. That was if she got the chance. Of course she wasn’t going to start setting up a torture chamber in the middle of the battle field was she? There were times where swiftness would be needed, and she knew exactly when.
Taking a silent sniff in the air, she could smell Demetrius but could not see him just yet, although he was close. Turning her head to see where the scent was coming from, she twisted around to follow her head, before being knocked backwards into the trunk of a tree, coming face to face with the white lycan lord. He was the only Lycan who was pure white, although by the looks of him, he could do with a bath. A sharp pain went through her as her shoulders slammed against the trunk, and she felt a small strong stub of a branch piercer her shoulder. Sucking in a big breath between her teeth, she gathered the strength she had that had been knocked out of her and concentrated on the pain.
“For christ’s sake Demetrius, anyone would think you like hurting your own kind” she answered him, clearly not pleased at the trunk how attached to her back. She wondered if changing to her Lycan form would speed up the healing process, but until she was off the tree and unpinned, she couldn't concentrate on it, or she would have a tree growing out of her back for the rest of her life.

He heard the squelch from where the branch pierced her shoulder, in truth he hadnt meant to cause her any real damage, but the way the Lycans were acting of late it was no wonder Demetrius was short on patience with them. He let go of the girl and slowly reverted back to his human self. The white fur shrunk back revealing the parts of his skin which was not covered by his clothing. The white fur on his head lengthened slightly and turned black and his face shrunk back into the face of the Lycan Lord. "Anyone would think my own kind liked to be killed," Demetrius said back with no emotion in his tone, "Hell, I'm even believing that myself"
He pulled her off the tree before snapping the tree branch out of her shoulder. He was dissapointed, her reflexed had not been high enough, if they had, she may have avoided this attack, it was how the Vampires were getting many of the younger ones. The younger ones had now been keeping out of his way, he had taken care of a few of the younger ones himself, those who had tried his patience and thought they could get away with it, while the others were trying to sweeten Demetrius up in hopes that he wouldnt punish them too much. Demetrius had left the younger ones to Kane's attention in hopes that he would be able to do something with them. It seemed as though whatever they were told, they didnt care. Young and foolish. Thinking they could take on the world, only to be shot down. Idiots.
Demetrius didnt care about who could do what or who was seeing who. Nor did he care about the fact some of the younger ones had noticed blossoms in the Vampire Clan. The only time Demetrius would care for something like that is if it involved someone from the Vampire Clan with someone from his own. He had heard people gossiping about Demetrius' own love life, which he thought was amusing considering he didnt have one and hadnt for many a year, but the Lycan didnt care, love was for idiots, and Demetrius was no idiot and he wouldnt suffer one. He had too much at stake to think of moronic things like that, though some of the younger Lycans were getting close, again something Demetrius thought was a mistake, he thought this for many reasons.
He pulled off his high colared jacket and shirt, the shirt more carefully than the jacket as he knew how prone he was to ripping them, before pulling off his boots and sliding into the lake. The feel of the cool water against his skin made him give a quick and satisfied shiver. Though realising that Sirena was still here, he turned to her, his gaze narrowing and his arms folding over his chest. "Shouldnt you be inside the Manor with the rest of the younglings as I ordered?" He smirked, "Or are you another one I shall have to punish for disobeying a direct order?" The breeze shook the leaves of the surrounding trees and rippled the water. It was a calm night as far as they went, and there were no Vampires around. Even the Vampires and Lycans took a night off once in a while to just relax. He let his arms fall into the water, maybe she thought he wouldnt mind her being out as she was in his company, but if every Lycan thought like this then the Lord would never have a moments peace, not that he did anyway, or at least very rarely. "The Vampires are not out tonight, you may return to the Manor as there is no need to be on patrol tonight." His tone never changed from the flat emotionless one, though his eyebrow raised as he looked upon the girl who seemed not to be moving, instead she was just watching him. Letting out a sigh, it was clear Demetrius could not be bothered to argue his point tonight so instead he turned his back to her, "Do what you want, but do not get yourself killed."

Grimacing as he let her go, she turned her head to look at the fresh wound. She maybe expected a wound or two from vampires, but not from her own kind. Still, she knew he was just keeping on his toes and didn’t mean any harm once he snapped the branch from her back. Biting her lip as he did this, she winced a little in pain which came out as a rather wolf like whimper. Turning back round to face Demetrius, she looked at the disappointment on his face as he spoke about his Lycans. It was clearly still on his mind about what had happened, and she began to wonder if she should go back to the mansion and leave him in peace. She knew he would not think of it as great that she hadn’t managed to dodge his attack, but she was one of the smaller ones, and she was even more surprised when he did not ram her back onto the branch and become angry that she had not dodged him. Heck if anyone could dodge Demetrius the only one it could be would be that wretched vampire lord.
There were many rumours that went about the castle, passed down from older generations, that Alexandria Rayne and Demetrius were actually together once upon a time, but the loser didn’t want to better herself, and thus the war begun. Many say that it was her idea for a takeover, but then backed out once she thought Demetrius would be better than her and decided to stay hidden. Still, these were rumours, and Sirena being herself, never took notice to them unless they came from the horse’s mouth themselves. Still, there must be some truth in one of the rumours for it to of been passed down throughout the Lycan generations.
Before Sirena knew it, Demetrius was stripping off and walking into the ice cold lake. Rather bemused as to what was happening, all she could do was stare at him wondering what the hell he was doing. The lake must of been freezing at this time of night and how he just walked into it without even flinching or his jaw chattering she did not understand. The only way she could do that without being cold would be to become a Lycan. Fur can be rather helpful sometimes!
“Demetrius, come on now. I’m not a youngling anymore! I’m just over a quarter your age, play fair” she joked with a smile. Turning into a lycan quickly, so the wound would heal quicker, she waited for a few minutes before she felt the wound healing. Snarling a little at the stinging sensation now on her shoulder, it soon passed. Looking up as she heard Demetrius speak again, she paused for a moment before a glint was seen in her eye. Still in Lycan form, she pounced into the water causing a big splash, and hopefully cheering the mardy old sod up a little bit.

The rumours were true, him and Alex had been together for a while, some people thought it only meant together as in on the same side, co-workers. Others thought that it meant a romantic involvement, though he wasnt sure himself if there was anything remotely romantic about it. Certainly no candle lit dinners in a fancy restraunt or watching the sun rise together. No, it was certainly nothing at all like that, more of a physical relationship if nothing else, though one where the two had cared. Asides from themselves, there were two people who knew of this relationship, Kane and Silas.
The lake wasnt really that cold to Demetrius, he had felt colder, when he had trained in the snowy areas up north he fell into ice water and since then, he knew the meaning of the word cold and this was not cold. Slightly refreshing, but definatly not cold. He could still feel her eyes boring into him, and with a cold smile he turned, raised his hands behind his head and tilted his head slightly to the left. "You like what you see Sirena?" He turned back around, not really caring whether the Lycan answered or not. Demetrius often play flirted with the younger Lycans, many of the time they just giggled helplessly or stood slack jawed staring at him. You'd think with him being the leader, and being as good looking as he is, many of them would flirt with him. Though maybe it was because of his standing that they didnt.
"I do not play fair." He answered slyly before slowly turning and looking at her, the water rippling with his moves and the ripples making the reflection dance upon the surface. "And to me, that is still young." Before he knew what was happening, Sirena had changed into her Lycan form and jumped in the water, causing a hige splash which obviously covered him from head to toe. He stood there, more wet than when he had gotten in, he turned to look at the Lycan, about to say something to her but what came out of his mouth, surprised even him. Demetrius laughed. He swam over to the lycan and placed a hand behind her ear, feeling the wet fur and ignoring the smell of it as wet fur smelt rather disgusting, even to him. "Change back," He told her, "The water is surprisingly warm."
