Being who she was, wasnt easy and it took a lot of practise, especially when it came to running. Cerys tried to keep her head above water and not sink, though sometimes she found herself slipping and needed a helping hand to pull her back up. Half the time she felt pretty useless in the war, even though she was helping keep everyone alive by healing them all the time, though while everyone was out fighting, Cerys was stuck in the Manor reading a book or something equally as dull. Though tonight she was in need of some special herbs, for as good as she was at healing, putting a layer of herb musy stuff helped reduce any swelling or infection and she was fast running out.
The Malkavian treaded lightly but quickly. Though it didnt matter how lightly she was treading, if a Lycan or Vampire was about it would smell her anyway, and she didnt have any way to defend herself. Sure, she had been training in Martial Arts every day, but there was only so much you could teach yourself and she was fast falling out of her regime because of it. Cerys had tried to use other ways of defending herself, she had even tried to hone her healing power so she could damage with a touch as well as heal, but so far she hadnt been able to.
If Cerys wasnt training she was in the Hopsital looking after those who were sick or needed Medical Assistance. She had been the nurse there for as long as she cared to remember, a lot had happened in her life and she didnt want to think about anything that could happen badly in the future. She wanted to be able to settle down one day and have a family, though the likelyness of that was looking slimmer and slimmer every day.
Cerys kept her ears open for any kinds of sounds that shouldnt be there, but asides from having healing powers she was pretty much as human as you can be, despite her age of course.

Ranvier was on watch over the near by streets once again, treading lightly along the rooftops. Not overally quickly, but compared to a Malkavian it was all the speed you required. This was to be expected of him; he was a Vampire general one of the three most senior ranked vampires about. Though with this came vast amounts of responsibility, namely protecting everyone in the clan, though they did not mind, many of the young Vampires he had grown accustomed to, they were his only family and therefore he enjoyed keeping protection over them. Himself and Silas generally took it is turns to secure the area and keep watch. Alexandria had many other things to occupy her time with and its not as if it was easy enough for two strong Vampires such as themselves to take care of.
It had been a quiet night so far; Ranvier had circled the town five times in the past hour. And there had been no disturbances to speak of. Perhaps both tribes were regrouping. There had been some vicious battles recently and both had sustained major casualties. The vampire clan had come of relatively lightly, there were very few of the weakest vampires around, due to rash actions earlier on in the war, but most learned from their mistakes and did not look back. Silas had been putting them all through strict training regimes. Ranvier only joined them occasionally; Silas had no need of him there, unless he required a demonstration partner. Though it was alot easier to allow him to just get on with it.
Ranvier jumped down onto another building, and as he touched down upon the roof, he sensed something, crouching lower to the ground, he moved slowly toward the edge of the building. He could sense a Malkavian, though they had no weapons. Moving closer to the edge, he stopped still for a few moments shutting his eyes. Heightening his other senses. It was most definitely a Malkavian, though it was not as strong as some, and had no weapons to speak of, other than its power of course. He dropped silently off the edge of the building. Gripping hold of the fire escape with his feet, making still no sound, he tensed his legs so he was hanging upside down off the bar. Arms crossed. He closed his eyes again. The Malkavian was female, though he did not recognise her scent, though she smelt of salicylic acid. So she was most definitely a healer. She was at least another twelve feet away; she emerged in to the street below a large street lamp. Talk about not being careful, she would have been a sitting duck. Ranvier observed as she moved in hi direction, eyes scanning the floor. Surely Akira will have taught them better than this. She was an intelligent woman, and yet she lets her ranks move around unguarded by weapons.
The Malkavian was now within a few feet of Ranvier, a small smile flitted across his lips. He was not going to harm an unarmed Malkavian; Ranvier did not harm Malkavians unless they were hell bent on killing him. This was not there war, and it was lost upon many of them as too why they would cause so many casualties for no real reason. Not moving from the shadows, he said quietly, allowing his voice to carry, “Good evening miss.”
((I hope you don't mind me dropping in.))

It was an eerily quiet night tonight, which set Cerys' senses into overdrive. She was paranoid, she would be lying if she said otherwise, anything could be stalking her and she wouldn't know it. Cerys hadnt developed the skill where she could sense any presence properly yet so she couldnt entirely rely on it as it told her there was a presence when there wasnt. She was probably being overly paranoid. You might want to know that she had to get the herb at night as it could not be subjected to the sunlight, like a Vampire, it would die if it did. Cerys had a bobby hat on, as well as a light blue track jacket with baggy jeans and trainers. She was still young and had much to learn, but she was the Malkavian's nurse, considering she was trained as a nurse anyway before her powers developed.
The further Cerys had walked, the more she was beginning to realise coming out without somebody with her was a very big mistake indeed. The little hairs on the back of her neck were standing tall and she was shivering, though not out of being cold. She was nervous that was for sure, she had been training in Martial Arts but wasnt too far along, still, she had a plan if any Vampire decided to attact her. It would not be wise to say the least. It would hurt them quite a bit, though of course, this was always assuming it would be a male Vampire or Lycan. Preferabbly Vampire, but even better, none!
Maybe it was this darkened back alley that was bothering her, setting her senses wild with both paranoia and fear. Taking a deep breath and clutching he bag close to her chest as though it would protect her, she ducked down another alley, soon coming onto the main street where brightly lit lamps would guide her. She felt a bit better, at least she could see. If only she knew it was to be a mistake. Cerys would have been safer in the Alley. She tried to lower her fear, if any Vampires were around they would smell it a mile off, Cerys did get frightened, she was not as strong nor as brave as many, though she tried to be a bit braver than she was. Cerys was a peaceful person and she tried to make the best of things, trying to make people feel better and feel like they belonged somewhere, and desperatly hoping in her heart of hearts that this war would soon end. Though whether it would or not was something completly different.
Cerys walked swiftly down the main street, the only sound she could hear were the sounds of her trainers on the stone floor. Cerys tried to keep her heart beating so loud, but she couldnt. Her blood was pumping fast making her have a sort of throbbing going on near her temple. The young Malkavian tried not to think of all the horrible things that could happen to her, she couldnt believe she used to like being scared, when she was a kid she loved horror films and watched them until she sat up in her bed shivering with fright. Now, she was not so keen on the feeling of fear, as she finally understood what it was like to fear for one's life.
She came underneath a lamp, the golden glow falling on her, it was not untill someone said something did she stop. She froze, her heart caught in her throat and her fear increasing at the speed of light. She slowly turned around and looked, but there was no sign from where that voice came from. "W-who's there?" Cerys stammered, her eyes flitting around though still no sign. Yet that voice had been creepy and she was now frozen, her fear doing kind of jelly jumps in her stomach. Not a pleasant feeling to say the least. "W-what...D-do you w-want?" She was trying to sound brave but her voice cracked.

The girl ambled forward, the essence of fear dripping from her very core. It was a deliciously sweet smell, which Ranvier had always enjoyed, and this young Malkavian was riddled with it. Licking his lips, trapping the scent on his taste buds, savouring the taste of fear. The amusing fact was that she did not even know anyone else was there, this was just fear at what could be there. Imagine if he made her jump, how much she would be brimming with fear then.
Ranvier observed as the young Malkavian jumped, eyes darting around the area, aided by the lamp under which she stood. However as usual she made the usual error. Why do people never look up? Have they never seen horror movies? Horror movies were always ever so much more amusing for creatures of the night. It was only in previous years when they had seen some horror movies, and enjoyed the sheer stupidity of the characters. The majority of the films were utter nonsense, but not things coming from above, and yet they still did not learn. This fact had even made the grumpy old buggar smile on occasion. Which was an amusing factor in itself. If something made Silas smile, then it was worth every penny. Alex and himself had managed it on the odd occasion, though they got the impression that most of the time he wanted to smile, he just however preferred to be stubborn. But that was nothing a quick jab in the ribs and a swift dive out the arms reach could not sort out.
Ranvier looked down at the girl once again as she enquired as to whom had spoken, now she was now completely overrun by fear, the taste of fear upon his tongue was almost becoming sickly sweet. So much so that it could be hear like music upon her voice. She could not even speak without stammering. Smiling slightly, he was not going to harm her at all, maybe just make her jump a little. He gained the impression that he would just have to creep up behind her and utter the three-letter word, most horrific in these situations, into her ear, and she would pass out with fear. This word was of course ‘Boo!” Smiling at his self. He brought himself upright, by pulling himself back up onto the bar, with his legs, so he was sat on the bars.
This was a time where he wished he had a black leather coat like Alex and Silas did, the tail of it flailing behind; it always added a great effect. Alas, it got in the way in battle, and Ranvier looked alot more fetching in his usual leather outfit. Well according to Alex he did. Sliding off the bar, so he was now only holding on with his hands, he swung forwards, and fell toward the floor. Crouching as he landed, to soften the impact. “Good evening my dear!” Ranvier stated in an upbeat manner, not bothering to hide his fangs as he smiled here, raisings his hands slightly to show he meant no harm. “Nothing. I am simply just intrigued as to why an unarmed Healer is walking the streets at this hour and during these troublesome times.” He knew she would be slightly startled that he knew so much information about her, when they had never met and she had given no intentional signs to point out any of these factors. And then moving slightly closer toward, arms held behind his back, in a pleasant thoughtful stroll through the countryside poise. The girl was unlikely to move, the fear had apparently stuck her to the ground not literally of course.
Then encircling her he said “But do not worry my dear, there are no other vampires or Lycans, out and about in the area currently. You are quite safe.” Then moving around infront of her once again, he looked directly at her, “But you should definitely be more careful in future, you may not be as fortunate as to come across one so nice next time.” Ranvier said smiling at her once again.
