The shadows flitted from window to window, her eyes followed feverishly as a haunting cry ripped the night air, backing up against the wall of the alley she stared wide eyed in fright upwards, a looming figure appeared at a cracked window, it’s blazing red eyes clear in the eerie moonlight, glaring down and piercing her very soul…
She awoke with a cry into the night, her eyes flying about the room as she sat bolt upright in her bed, the covers thrown off of her onto the cluttered floor. “Goddamn it Eve shut the hell up!” Cried a very exasperated, angry voice from the next room, breaking into her silent reverie as she stared blankly ahead shivering uncontrollably, it had been so real. But now she was back in her cramped university room, her eyes fixed upon the door, fearing that knock, the one she felt sure would come any day now.
Shivering, and not because of the cold, she gathered up her great double duvet and curled up thankfully into it, wrapping herself up as if it could protect her somehow. Anything to get away from those terrible eyes, and feel somehow safer…a knock came at her door, a sharp rap. Her wide eyes flew towards the door, and her heart rate trebled instantly, thumping away in her breast as she asked a little hesitantly “wh..who is it?” “It’s me Eve open up, I’ve a hot chocolate for ya,” she recognised those dulcet Irish tones instantly, it was Sean, thank God at least he tried to understand her nightmares, he was a little more considerate than her other roommates, he had to be to keep her as his stunning girlfriend. Breathing a sigh of relief she distangled herself from her duvet and bounded to the door, turning the lock and planting a quick thanking kiss upon Sean’s cheek for the steaming mug of hot chocolate he offered her. Grinning he slipped in, not batting an eyelid as she locked the door again. “Still think he’s gonna come for you?” “I can’t help it Sean,” she retorted curling onto the bed and wrapping her hands about the grateful warmth of the mug. “I know love, but still you don’t have to scream the place down every night do ya?” A sharp glance and roll of her eyes made him continue, “I don’t suppose you would if you could help it though.” “Course I wouldn’t, now did you just come here to lecture me on my nightmares? Or was it to steal a copy of Mr Edmonds work, you know the one that’s in for tomorrow?” “You know me too well,” he replied moving to her desk piled high with ill-organised files and tatty bits of paper. “So it’s hiding in this lot somewhere?” He asked imploringly hoping she’d found it for him, knowing he’d never find it on his own Eve sighed exaggeratedly, pointing towards the sheaf of paper he’d need. “Oh, you know you’re a star don’t you?” He chuckled diving into the swivel chair at the desk and beginning to copy out the work onto a notepad that she kept out just for such an occasion. “Yeh you tell me that every night. It’s getting repetitive.” She laughed, her spirits growing lighter. “S’only the truth, and ya do deserve the odd compliment.” “A few more than that,” she retorted beginning to sip the hearty liquid that replenished her flagging spirits, she wouldn’t have put it past Sean to have slipped a little vodka in just for a little kick, but it still tasted fine. Watching him languidly as he scribbled down a copy of the work she wondered when his hand writing would eventually improve; it was awful, she’d have to do something about it sometime, give him a few lessons. As her mind idly thought, and her eyes drifted happily about his lean body she was quite contented, that was until the bang came at her door.
Heart in her throat in an instant she gave a wild eyed look of fear towards Sean, who laughed, saying, “man you’re the most paranoid girl I’ve ever known, I’ll get it for ya,” jumping up and oblivious to her cries of, “no see who it is first,” he leapt to the door, unlocking it and swinging it open, Sean never expected what came next, but Eve on the other hand had been expecting and dreading it.

Many events had lead upto this mission Silas was on tonight. He never thought he would find himself in Ireland again, it was not really the place he liked to be as it held one too many painful memories for the old Vampire General. He had to travel over two days just to get to Ireland, being careful he had to avoid direct sunlight. It was true that himself, Ranvier and Alexandria could withstand the suns rays for a short space of time. It was around ten minutes before they got badly sunburnt and twenty minutes before it killed them. It wasnt a lot of time but it was better than nothing as this trip had proved to him, his skin now had a faint eerie red glow to it. The whites of his eyes now red and blood shot from the contact with the sun. Though the blue was still showing through the red, though it just made them look eerier and he did not know how he was going to convice a young lass to come with him looking like he was a throwback from a 60's dracula movie. He hated those movies, so prejeduice against their kind. Seriously, how can any Vampire turn into a bat? Something human sized turning into something that small, you must be mad, plus, Garlic did nothing as Silas often ate it and he was still alive and kicking, holy water didnt do nothing to him either. Such a waste of time, though he did find it somewhat amusing how Vampires were based on such stupidities.
He had been in the University since dawn this morning, just waiting as he darent chance any more sunlight. Alexandria had heard about this girl, he was sure she said her name was Eve or something like that and she was a Seer. Such a rare gift, though it was a curse at the same time and if the young one did not learn to control it soon, she would be driven mad as her mind was open to every little thing right now and she needed to be able to control what she saw, if she didnt, she would eventually never have a moments rest from them and even in her waking hours they would plague her every minute of the day until she was in a madhouse. There had been numerous cases like this one, though they had got there in time, the person would not come with them and would not learn to control it. In time, they had been driven insane and could not be cured. Sighing as he waited for the sun to go down in the basement of the University, Silas closed his eyes and let sleep wash over him.
Silas awoke a good few hours later, his dreams had been of his daughter once more, his daugter and his wife, both now deceased of which he blamed himself for. Though he did not dwell on this, time would come later when he was back at the Manor where he could devote his time to thinking of them and silently hoping they would forgive him for not being there. He pushed himself off the crate he was on and pulled open the door. Taking a look around his surroundings he began to walk to the Student Building he knew her to be residing in, however he did not know which room she was in. The wind catching at his coat as it billowed out behind him, the moonlight reflecting of his reddened, yet still pale skin as he yanked open the door and walked inside.
It was strange being in a University where so many children resided, he did not remember schools being like this, but maybe that was just his age talking. He remembered them being run down buildings that were on the verge of collapse, not polished marble floors and white walls looking posh and fancy like a place you would send your children if you were rich. Silas' eyes narrowed as he looked down each of the corridors on the first floor, nobody was here. This was useless he began to think. How could he find one girl in this place? He did not know her scent so it would be impossible, though Silas was not one to give up as he made his way upto the second floor. Though hearing a peircing cry from somewhere above him he darted to the staircase again. Though he was unable to pinpoint the location, which he found highly irritating as he slipped into another room. He sat down for a moment in a corner, contemplating what his next course of action would be when the door opened. His eyes shot up, but to his dismay he found it was a boy and a girl, though he knew it was not the one he was looking for. They were clearly in the middle of a conversation so had failed to notice Silas.
"It's not her fault if she has nightmares, Kace." The boy said as he began to heat up some water and pour some kind of grit into a cup. Silas wrinkles his nose thinking that stuff looked awkward. "I never meant that it was," She answered, "Im just saying it's every night and it isnt just herself she's keeping awake, Sean, its the whole floor! Couldnt we get her some kind of professional help? Im sure the uni will--" "Eve doesnt need a shrink or anything like that before you suggest it." He seemed to be defensive over the girl, though Silas listened harder once he heard Eve's name. This was pure luck he was sure of it. "Im just saying its best not to close our options." The girl looked down at the cup, "And hot chocolate is not going to help anything that goes on in that mind of hers." "It isnt just chocolate," He said as he poured a small amount of clear liquid in, the smell came straight up Silas' nose and he knew it instantly to be Vodka. "And it isnt her fault if her dreams are bad and seem real, they're just dreams everyone has them." "Not every night."
The girl seemed to get annoyed as she stormed out of the room. The lad he now knew as Sean finished making that atrocious concoction and left. After a few seconds, Silas got up and followed him, staying quiet and keeping his distance. He rounded a corner at the top of the hall, Silas stayed on the corner out of view though looked around so see what door he was knocking on so Silas knew where he was going. It seemed Eve was reluctant to let him in at first, the nightmare had obviously phased her, though he reassured her who it was and soon the door opened and Sean vanished behind it, hearing the lock click too, Silas knew she had locked the door.
He knew he could not just go storming in there, he would never gain her trust that way. That was the main thing he had to do, gain her trust. So deciding to go and knock instead, it seemed the safest option. He stood outside the door for a minute listening to the conversation within, now he wondered whether Silas was the man she saw in her dreams, or if it was another. He could not risk someone else getting to her so decided tonight was the night he would approach her.
Knocking firmly on the door, Silas awaited an answer. Sean seemed to ignore her pleas as the door swung open, Sean came face to face with the Vampire known as Silas. He was considerably taller than Sean, though that wasnt difficult as Silas was rather tall. The boy was standing in his way but if any harm came to him then the girl would not trust him. Taking his eyes from Sean he let them rest upon Eve and Silas' own breath caught in his throat when he looked upon her face. How much she was like Chanterell. It was like he was seeing her ghost, this could not be coincedence surely, he stood there for a few moments within the door frame before firmly pushing the boy aside, though not hard enough to hurt him but hard enough to cause him to stumble, he advanced upon Eve.
"You are quite difficult to track down, Miss Regan" He said slowly and quietly, barely audible though no emotion was in his voice even though he felt like he was speaking to his dead daughter.

Peering around Sean, who momentarily stood blocking the door and her view, she looked above his short cropped hair, and saw precisely what she hadn't wanted to see. Gasping, her breath caught awkwardly in her throat as her eyes bulged, her instant reaction was to curl up into a corner and wimper; but she was stronger than that. Having been about to arrest Sean before he reached and opened the door, she'd been too late, and now stood stockstill behind him, eyes rivetted upon the tall, forbidding man before her. Their gazes locked, until she shrank away, the fear clear in her eyes, but also the fiery spirit deep within, a faint gleam in her eyes that portained a spirit that would eventually kindle and flourish, given the right guidance.
On seeing those eyes the mug of chocolate fell with a dull thump upon the floor, spilling its contents all about her bare feet and the rouge carpet. Eve barely even noticed as she shrank away, taking several steps back, and clutching her desk for support. "You," she breathed, barely audibily, in complete disbelief, whilst Sean stood there like a plank, not quite so aware of the danger, until he was easily knocked aside. As the man, if it were even a man, with those eyes she definitely wasn't sure, glided into the room his deathly gaze fixed upon her, Eve wanted to scream, but couldn't, physically she couldn't manage it and mentally she knew she shouldn't, if this were indeed the man of her dreams and the likeness was such that indicated a near certainty that it was, then she wasn't going to escape from him easily. Besides nobody would rush to her aid, it was like she had cried wolf too many times, she knew how annoyed all her flatmates were, even Sean's exasperation was clear sometimes, but she really, truly couldn't help it.
She was glad Sean was here, whether he was being brave for her, or just hadn't seen the dreadful eyes, she didn't know, but she was glad when he spoke up for her, as her own tongue had near been swallowed in fright. "Why're you tracking Eve?" He demanded, his voice quite normal, though with an edge of nervousness about it, he hadn't really listened to Eve's retelling of her dreams it seemed, as she'd viewed this man countless times, nearly as much as the other, there were so many it made her head spin, the number of dreams, and as she recalled those that had featured this man, the memories crashed down upon her, and she visibly flinched, near falling upon the desk and having to clutch it all the more for support. "Y..you're in my dreams," she whispered, not realising the words had passed her lips until they were out. As a fresh parasyxm of fear swept over her due to the steely gaze she decided the desk wasn't support enough, and fell back onto her bed instead pushing herself into the corner gazing up at him, whilst Sean added in a strong voice that would have made Eve proud if she wasn't so terrified herself, "you're not really allowed in here at this hour mate," as he could clearly see the state his girlfriend was in, he wanted to do something to help her, but both knew this man didn't look like he was going to budge, and both were trying to convince themselves that he was just a man.
Sudden memories of the man talking to fellows who looked nearly as terrifying crashed down upon Eve, discussions about how to deal with latest developments, which of the younglings were showing promise and which were likely to meet an untimely demise. The dreams smashed into her already battered mind, making it hard for her to concentrate, as each time she'd seen this man was relayed at a blurring speed in her minds eye,a dizziness swept over her, but she refused to show a weakness, and the concentration to keep from collapsing in a state upon her pillows, made her brow furrow, making it seem like she frowned up at him, likely a big mistake.

He heard the gasp come from Eve though he wasnt phased by it, he wasnt used to such a hostile welcome, if thats what you could call it from a Human and someone who wasnt really Human, but was not anything else either. Silas caught the fear in her eyes, but more importantly the stench. He could smell fear a mile off and it was horrible, the worst kind of smell imaginable but yet the most satisfying in some circumstances, however this was not one of those circumstances. He did not want her to be afraid of him, though as he caught a glimsp of himself in the mirror he understood why. His face was expressionless, his eyes reddened by the sun yet still surprisingly blue. His eyes drifted closed in slight annoyance as he realised this was not the best entrance he had ever made. As his eyes opened just as slow, he pulled the lad upto his feet from the floor so he was on his feet rather than lay haphazardly on the floor. He brushed a rather large bit of dust off Seans shoulder before moving his eyes back to Eve.
He was slightly reluctant now, upon seeing how much she looked like his daughter to bring her into his world, a world full of chaos, death and destruction. But he knew if he didnt, she would fall into someone else's hands or get driven insane. He wanted to be the one to guide this girl, not because of her gift, but because instantly, upon seeing her, he felt protective over her. He wanted to be able to protect her, and he would make sure he did. He would not allow himself to fail again, not when it seemed that fate had handed him a second chance to redeem himself and possibly rid himself of the guilt and regret he carried with him every night of his life for the past three thousand plus years.
"Me"
The word was spoken with slight amusement, he raised an eyebrow slightly and crossed his arms across his chest, watching her shy away from him. Was he really that terrifying? Though glimpsing himself again with a sigh he realised he was, his pale skin against his dark clothes didnt help, his whole image was rather intimidating, sure enough he wouldnt like to meet himself on a dark night in an alleyway somewhere. Silas didnt move an inch apart from to cross his arms. He stood perfectly still as both were on either side of him but quite a distance away. His face was hard and his gaze was stony, but he rarely had any other look upon his face, he always look either annoyed, irritated or looked like some complete moron was trying to speak to him. Suddenly Silas began to think Ranvier would have been better for this mission, though upon thinking this, the corner of his mouth twitched slightly as though it was attempting a smile, though it must have thought it was to much effort as it stopped soon off. Ranvier would probably just chat at the two for hours, gloryfying their race, which of course, any mention of him being a Vampire was to be avoided as best he could. Despite the fact he had already shown he was stupidly powerful for someone who appeared 40+.
He turned his head in a lazy motion, almost as though thinking 'Why are you talking?' It wasnt the lad Silas was here for, and so consequently Silas saw it as none of his business. Though judging from Eve's espression as he took a glance back to her, he realised she had been thinking the exact same thing. Pulling the chair out from under the desk, Silas sat on it, he realised this could go on for a while, best to make himself comfortable and it appeared he had no problem in doing so, this may seem impolite but Silas was not accustomed to humans anymore and didnt quite know how to act around them, and this was showing due to his cold demenour. He sighed and ran a hand through his slick hair, his eyes fluttering shut for a moment trying to figure the right words to say without landing himself with a huge explanation of what Silas himself was. Though before he had a chance to answer Sean's question, Eve said something and she was his main priority, so with a rather sly smile, though not meaning it to be sly and being careful to hide his fangs as Silas did not like to revert to his human from where he had no fangs and dull blue eyes.
"I had a suspicion I had because of your reaction Miss Regan" He said simply though looked back to Sean. "Simply put I was tracking her because of her dreams," He looked back to Eve, his eyes still icy and his expression still hard, "Surely you must have noticed them being more frequent now, coming almost every night?"
Silas stood up, he was not comfortable on the chair anyway and he felt more in charge when he towered above the two of them. He did not want to tell her much just yet, he did not want to scare the girl. He did not know how she would react to certain things so he had to play his words carefully. You would have thought being his age he would be able to do this easily, however his natural impluse to be callous came before his wording. He was trying though, even though his words were still spoken quietly and in a quite intimidating tone. Upon Sean's next words, something inside Silas snapped and he had to fight to control himself to not throw the boy through the wall or do something stupid. He took a deep breath, clearly annoyed. Silas had a short temper at the best of times, but when to teenagers dared challenge him like Sean was doing, he tended to lose his cool. Silas really wanted to tell him to shut up and listen to his elder, throwing him through a wall wouldnt help and neither would telling them his age, so he simply said, "I do not often follow rules," Turning his eyes onto Sean, Silas narrowed them and his brow furrowed, "And you will find I am not your mate, child." He had sort of snarled the last sentance, being called 'mate' by anyone annoyed him, as he had no 'mates.' Ranvier and Alexandria were the closest thing to, but he would not class them as friends, they were his family. Difference. I think yes.
"I am not here to alarm you" He spoke again, though she frowned as he said this and yet another jolt of anger rose within the Vampire. How hard was it to put the point across he wanted to help her? He didnt want her to suffer and staying in a world of Humans, she surely would as Humans, no matter how trained, can not handle the gift. They had to be blooded by a creature, or a Malkavian had to do some form of hocus bloomin' pocus on them. Humans would go crazy from the visions, he needed to tell her this but he wasnt quite sure how. "I am here to help you, not harm you. I shall answer any questions you have, Eve. And I will help you control these dreams of yours. They can be dangerous if you do not learn to control them, if you let me, I will help you." He looked to Sean then back to Eve. "If your friend was to leave us to talk, I shall tell you anything you want to know." He had an old accent, like he, himself was a throwback from the 1800's, but his accent didnt matter to him as it had not changed in three thousand plus years so he doubted it ever would.

Eve had been worried for a long time now, she was scared in this very instance; the man was alarming at first, but there was something about his mannerisms, the way he talked, as if he knew exactly what he was saying. She had a feeling he was selecting his words very carefully indeed, maybe being an interpol student had even taught her something, but she respected that, he wasn't blundering in, and now she was getting a tad more used to his rather grim and scary visage, it was the eyes that chilled her to the core, she was beginning to calm down a little. Her breath wasn't catching so much, her mind was clearing, the thunderous weight of memory drifting away and allowing her a greater clarity of thought, and she needed that right now. Though she'd feared this day would come; the dreams had foretold it and she'd gradually come to believe in them, she'd known she couldn't have been prepared for the day, so had tried to live her life until it did happen.
"My dreams?" She muttered, "more than every night, every second it feels like." She spoke drily daring to speak a little more now; he'd done nothing to her...yet. Perhaps he meant her no harm afterall, but the dreams had definitely defined his dangerous nature, most definitely, she had to be careful.
Eve had just hoped and prayed the day wouldn't come so soon, but now it had, and she had to deal with it. Drawing a deep breath she looked up at the man, wishing he'd have stayed seated, she didn't much like craning her neck skywards all the while, but something told her he wouldn't take well to be offered the chair once more, and she would never dare go anywhere near ordering him, Sean had already been curtly dealt with due to that. He now stood there a little dumbstruck, looking to Eve to see what she wanted him to do, she knew he'd try to be her knight in shining armour if she asked nicely, but the man had knocked him down with so much ease that it was quite clear Sean would never stand a chance, even though he was reasonably fit, Eve chose them well that was for sure.
Listening avidly to what the man had to say she quietly let him speak his peace, then bit her lip as she tried to decide what the best course of action really was, just as Sean was about to open his mouth, and put his foot right in it again, she forstalled him saying, "Ok, I'll believe you, for now at least." Her eyes studied him shrewdly now, her fear having died down somewhat, he was threatening her, and more importantly he claimed he had answers, and even solutions to her troubles; the damned dreams. "But..." tried Sean, a withering glance by his girlfriend made him sigh deeply, shaking his head he muttered, "suit yerself." "You'll stay close though won't you Sean?" Eve asked her worry creeping in again, he might not have been doing much but he'd still been there for her. "Yeh I'm right next door if you need me. I still don't think it's a good idea." "Thanks Sean," she came near to a smile, but spoke with finality, and Sean knew when to not bother arguing with her, she could be as stubborn as a mule when she wanted to be, everyone knew that. As Sean left, Eve's eyes longingly gazed after him, but soon returned to the cold man before her. She couldn't quite retain eye contact, but the fear was dying now, though she'd never get used to those eyes. Chewing her lip she wondered quite where to begin, there were so many questions to ask, but first of all, "why's this happening to me? And how come you don't think I'm just crazy, everyone else does," she muttered bitterly.
Before she could stop herself another question had slipped out, "how can you help me? Can you stop them?" She asked, the hope in her voice quite plain. Worry creased her brow, she hadn't had a decent nights sleep in weeks, not only were there awful bags under her eyes which was bad enough for any respectable girl, but she was losing concentration in critical lectures, she could barely suppress the yawns now. She really hoped this man would and could help, but she couldn't help but wonder how he knew, it boggled her mind completely, how did he know though? She was reluctant to ask the question, for fear of the answer, or rather the lies she would likely receive. She had to be careful, very careful.

He could still smell the fear polluting the air in the room, though it was slowly thinning out. The smell of fear from Eve was lessening, but the same amount of fear that was in Sean the moment he walked through the door was still there. Silas had a face like something particularly nasty had been placed under his nose, of course this was just the smell of fear, in the battlefield in open spaces, he didnt mind it, he would go as far as to say he liked it as it melded with the natural air and had a satisfying taste to it, but in this room there was no air and it was stuffy, making it even worse. These humans didnt know how lucky they were to not be able to smell it. Every time he looked at Eve, he saw Chanterell staring back at him, the same innocent look within her eyes as the one his daughter often beheld, the same fire in her soul that she had. It was nerving him somewhat, he had plenty of pictures of his daughter, but the fates shoving someone who looked so much like her was toying with him, almost mocking him, and it only increased his guilt as he knew he was taking her into the world that took his daughter from him in the first place.
"Yes, Child," Silas nodded slowly, letting his eyes linger on her. His hand going to the rings on the chain around his neck subconciously. They always did whenever he thought about his deceased family and being around Eve was a constant reminder so he seemed to be thinking about them subconsiously. Though he quickly withdrew his hand and walked over to the window, pushing it open slightly and looking down over the grounds. "They will get worse if you do not control them"
Silas' eyes did not withdraw from the window, it was almost like he did not want to look at Eve. Though he knew this would not help his cause and so he realised he had to. His world was dangerous and he knew if she wanted guidance, she would have to leave her world and enter his. It was no lie his world was dangerous, full of death and sadness. Either way she would have to be a part of his world, it did not matter which clan she was in but if she wanted to stay sane someone would have to teach her how to deal with these abilities. She would be involved from the war, Silas would protect her as best he could and shield her as much as he could, but she would still be at risk, even if she stayed within the manor and he knew that. So much had happened in his life, too much he cared to think about. He had let people down before, and he had failed them. Silas never claimed to be perfect and he never would claim to be. It doesnt matter how strong he is, one mistake could be fatal to him. Someone, someday will overpower the Vampire and it will be the end of Silas, and in some strange way he was looking forward to it. He was looking forward to the day he could finally rest, in a way he supposed he had a deathwish. Though didnt every immortal in a way? Afterall they do say you always want what you cant have.
He had been stood silently for ten minutes, a rather strange and distant look on the side of his face that Eve would be able to see. He hadnt realised he had gotten so lost within his thoughts once again and only voices brought him back out of it. He turned slowly from the window and looked at Eve, his eyes seemed even more cold and distant suddenly if that was even possible. He gave a small smile when she said she believed him, he wouldnt lie to her that was for sure, not now anyway, the start of a new relationship was too tender. Though he may not tell her the whole truth about things.
He gave a soft sigh and sat down on the chair again once Sean had left and she began asking questions. He could hear him outside the door and that bugged him, so standing up he opened it to find his ear pressed against the door, instantly he fell through it, as he looked up at Silas, Silas raised his eyebrows as Sean gave a harsh, "Fine!" And what could only be described as a fuffing sound. Turning back into the room he let the door close itself, a few students had opened their doors when they heard Sean yell fine and gave Silas a strange look. For a while after the door closed he didnt say anything as he listened to the conversation outside of Sean telling everyone everything. Humans couldnt keep anything to themselves.
"You have had this gift," He emphasised the word gift, "Since you were born. It is likely that it came from somewhere in your ancestory and manifested within you, something about you must be strong if that is the case." So that was not a proper answer, but it was an answer none the less. He had known Seer's in his life, his wife had been good friends with one, though Silas never spoke to her after the death of his family asides from once. "Everyone else does not understand what it is you are going through, what it is that you see as it can be both a curse and a gift"
He wondered when her next question would come, however he hoped this one wouldnt have been yet, but it was and though he hadnt really got an answer for it, he knew he had to. He was good at training people and he helped develop the minds, not just the body. The mind was just as important as pysical strength, especially for a Vampire. "I can not stop them, no" Silas said truthfully, diminishing any hope she had, "Nobody can stop them. They are a part of you that will never go away but I can help you control it so you see only what you want to see." He told her, "Of course ones will slip through, Important ones your mind tells you, you have to know. I can help you deal with the pain that comes along with them." He took a breath, "I, if you let me, Will help train your mind to be able to handle the visions. The stronger your mind becomes the stronger you become and the less pain you experiance. You can not do this alone and believe me people have tried." That hadnt meant to come out, smooth Silas, "Only someone with a strong mind can. I have a strong mind as I have been developing mine since before you were born." Yeah, three thousand plus years, "Do you accept?"

At first she'd tried concealing her dreams from everyone, when they became progressively worse that was, she'd often confided in her elder brother who'd diligently listened and actually listened as her dreams had become ever so gradually more frequent, and more scarily real. As soon as her head hit the pillow her dreams began now, she gained no real satisfying sleep, sleep her body sorely needed now. But the change had been exceptionally slow, now she looked back at it, her brother had listened, until he'd moved away from home, and then she too had moved away, and had lost touch somewhat, something she often felt incredibly guilty for.
Yet her own troubles had gradually overridden her guilt, she'd wanted to tell her family, but she hadn't wanted them worrying about her, besides her dad would probably have told her to pull herself together to start with, and her friends, well when they weren't within screaming distance they were fine with her, though few outside of the flat knew of the nightmares so much, she didn't like talking about herself before the dreams had taken precedence, now they had it was even stranger, and she didn't want people thinking her strange, sure she shouldn't care would others thought, the undeniable fact remained that she did, already she cared for what this man thought of her. She respected him, and without truly knowing it was yearning to gain his respect.
There was something about his gaze, not just the colour of his eyes and the steely nature of it, but the way he looked at her, if she hadn't known better she'd have thought it was fondness, but that was impossible for someone he didn't know...wasn't it? Being called a 'child' rankled with her a bit, she was a young adult and prefered to be called and treated like one, for all the good things at least. But she wasn't going to say anything about it, it was just like someone calling her 'duck' or 'love' or like Sean calling him 'mate' just one of those generic words.
She had to control them? But how was she supposed to manage that exactly? She used her mind enough already, she couldn't quite think of how she'd improve it much more, she was of course being very naive. As a silence descended, one that remarkably wasn't awkward, not that she would have broken it first anyway, she was too occupied with her own thoughts to much notice the passage of time. Startled from her reverie as he moved away from the window, sitting then suddenly standing once more, he moved towards the door, and Eve's heart leapt into her mouth, followed hurriedly by the words, "no don't go," she regretted them as soon as she uttered them, it might have been a test, but then she laughed on seeing Sean fall into the room as the door was swung open. As he went off in a bit of a huff she felt quite touched, he really did care for her, enough to eavesdrop, and she knew he wasn't just nosey, he did actually care and that naturally made her feel good.
The man was soon back to business, and Eve stayed curled up, her unwavering gaze following him about the room. Listening carefully she wanted to dwell upon his words, and properly understand them fully, but found she hadn't the time. "From my ancestry," she breathed, it was a lot to take in,and she could hardly believe her family capable of such things, but there was likely much she didn't know about them, if she actually thought about it she did know that everyone kept their own little secrets, and kept them close for fear of discovery, this was hers, but now it didn't have to be such a secret, this man knew, but if that was the case then how many others would also know? The thought was daunting, and just a little terrifying, her secret might not be a secret at all.
Eve bit her lip trying not to show her abject disappointment as he revealed her "gift" as he put it, couldn't be stopped, only controlled, it was disheartening, but it sounded like she could at least do something about it. The way he was describing it gave no alternative, she would have to accept his help, if he was to be believed of course. Something deep within Eve made her believe she could trust this man, for what could he really gain from lying, much more than she could possibly imagine was probably the answer, so she thought she'd rather not dwell on that.
"So I'll be able to stop the nightmares? With your help?" It sounded like it would be dangerous to try controlling them herself. Tearing her eyes away from the fixed eye contact she looked down as she thought things over, coming to a something of a decision after a few moments precious thought. "I don't know what I'm accepting, I really want the help, but...well...is there a catch?" She asked, there always was with this sort of thing, there had to be. "I just don't understand why you want to help me is all, I don't know you, though you seem to almost know me. People don't just help each other for no reason these days, so what's in it for you?" Biting her lip she wondered as soon as the words escaped her lips if she might have overstepped the mark, but she had to be truthful and voice her real opinion. These were real concerns and they needed to be dealt with, but a sudden thought came to here, one that made her shiver to her very core, leaning in slightly she whispered her question, "I..I'm not dangerous am I?" She had to know.

((2193 words GEDDIN THERE!!! OH YEAHHH!! Hahaha))
Everyone had something to hide, thats what made them who they were. Silas himself had plenty of things he wanted to keep hidden, there were horrors in his past that nobody knew about. Silas had his own demons and even within the war he had his own personal fight he was fighting too. Silas had things he thought he would never truely get past, his own regrets in life, he had blooded only one person in his time, and only for the reason he felt sorry for her and he knew what the girl was going through. She had lost her entire family in one night at the hands of the Lycans, like Silas himself. He would never want to subject someone to the horrors of his world unless he had no other alternative. This was the reason he had ever only blooded Antonia. Though a few years after he had blooded her, he found out her brother was still alive, but he was now one of the creatures who destroyed her family and he did not have the heart to tell her. If Eve accepted his proposal to join with him, he would not blood her straight off, he would slowly build her upto it until she was ready. She had a lot to cling onto in this world, but already due to her gift she was slowly slipping away from it, and everyone and everything that tied her to it. It would only be a matter of time before she completley detatched herself from it. Though if she did accept, he would be taking her to England with him, where she would have to say goodbye to Sean. In a way, this saddened the mercyless Vampire.
Silas was one who, once you gained his respect, would stand beside you, he would protect you and do his best by you. He knew just by looking at her, that people here were not doing much to help her with her problem. This both angered him and saddened him even more because if you could not rely on family, who could you rely on? It was obvious to him she was trying to put on a brave face to this all, she was clinging to her life here as best she could, but it was like trying to hold water in your bare hands, it slipped through your fingers quicker than you could keep ahold of it. Silas knew that feeling all too well. For thats how he had felt after his family perished, he tried to continue, he remained with the army for a few months but the harder he tried to cling, the more it crumbled and slipped from him until nothing more than an empty shell was left. Then Alexandria and Demetrius found him and given him a new purpose, a new life, a new family. Slowly, Silas was able to pick up the pieces of his life and begin to put it back together, though he built on it instead of just fixing it. He made things better, and he made the best of the hand he had been dealt in life. He would be lying if he said his life was easy, it was far from it. The life of a Vampire was not an easy one and things you could do was severly limited, but it was the same with the Lycans and Malkavians. None of them had an easy life anymore, and it would soon become apparent to Eve that she no longer had an easy life, and she would soon regret not saying things to her family. Not telling her loved ones she loved them. She would regret taking the things she did for granted. That was human weakness. Taking everything for granted. Silas himself had done it when he was a human, he had took his wife and daghter for granted always believing they were going to be there. However they were taken from him before their time. To which he was severly sour for. He did not doubt within time, Eve would see this when her power developed. He would have to try and close his mind to her, there were things in his mind he did not want her seeing, and his family was one of them. Nobody knew about them, not even Alexandria. He was sure in time, she would gain his respect, and even possibly his trust. Though both would come in time as Silas was not one to easily trust anyone.
It was not impossible to feel fondness for someone you do not know. Though he had never felt fond of anyone he had only just met before, and of course there was a reason for it. Though not one he cared to discuss with her. He knew she had spotted the look in his eyes, somewhere behind the ice and gaze of steel. In a way he felt if he could keep this child from harm, the fact he couldnt keep his own from harm would be forgiven. His wife and daughter would forgive him, because he felt as though they blamed him for their death because he was not there. It did not matter how much he had tried to shield them, the one time he was not there was the one time he was unable to protect them. His eyes changed from steel to pain whenever he thought of his family, though he always broke eye contact when he felt this as Silas felt emotion was a weakness and would never willingly show anyone any kind of emotion if he could help it. Silas' life was one full of regret and hatred, and he did not want her to see that underlying darkness within him, because that was all Silas was. Darkness. Hatred. Regret. Remorse. Hardened. He tried to make up for it with the young ones, however they did nothing to help rid him of this. When he had returned home, instead of a loving daughter screeching at the sight of her father, a loving wife happy cry and the puppys jofull yaps, he was greeted with silence. Shaking his slightly he pushed these thoughts aside, his gaze was on the window once more. He had never wanted to be a father again, or a husband after that. He did not want to fail again.
To control these powers wasn’t just about using you mind, you had to be able to control it. You had to be able to push memories away as easily as you thought of them. The mind was an independent thing and not many people could control their thoughts. Even Silas slipped sometimes. Silas often had problems, especially when it came to his demons. It seemed the two of them were able to be in silence without it being awkward which of course was strange for strangers. Especially when Eve did not know anything about Silas, not even his name. As he made his way from the chair to the door, he heard her hurried words of “No don’t go,” and found himself smiling, so she had not wanted him to leave, that was a good sign to say the least. At least she trusted him to an extent, and yet this brought on fresh guilt as Alexandria had ordered him to tell her as little about himself and where he comes from as he could until they got back into England. She had also told him not to mention anything about being a Vampire. Though Silas knew she knew there was something not quite right with him, as she had seen his strength, not to mention his inhumanly blue eyes which every Vampire had. Of course in movies and comic books they were described as ugly beasts with wrinkled faces and yellow eyes or something equally stupid. In actual fact many Vampires were beautiful, all you had to do was look at Alex or Antonia to realise this. You become a Vampire at an early age, you will retain your beauty for an eternity.
“The boy really cares for you,” Silas complimented, though he knew Sean cared for her it was not enough. He wouldn’t be able to help Eve like Silas could, and he was sure no guy liked to lose his girlfriend to another bloke, even if he was old enough to be her great great great and so on and so forth Grandfather. Of course Sean did not know this little fact. Okay, maybe him being 3894 years old was a rather large fact about Silas. But he wasn’t exactly going to turn around to Sean and say, ’Do not worry, I shant steal your girlfriend as im 3894 years old’ was he? As amusing as it might be he knew he could not. It would not be wise and would certainly compromise his growing relationship with the girl. Though he supposed he should tell her something, how was he supposed to tell her they could only travel by night? Allergic to the sun maybe? Well he wasn’t lying was he? As long as Silas did not lie she could not hold it against him if he didn’t tell her the full truth. That was his logic anyway.
As he spoke he heard her repeat certain words, he would go into more detail for her at a later date if she accepted his help. If not there was nothing more he could do. He was returning to England tomorrow, and he hoped she would join him. He could force her as he was stronger, but he did not want to do that. Family histories were strange and wonderful things, if you go digging deep enough your bound to find things you didn’t know before. This was how Silas and the Vampires had originally discovered Eve. There were so many things you could find from a family tree if you knew where to look, and Silas was practically an expert on those things.
“Yes,” Silas answered her, “As I said you will not be rid of the Visions, but they will come only when you want them to or when one is important, and I can only help if you let me. If you do not, there is nothing I can do as your mind will not let me help you. You have to want to be helped to be able to be helped, or else I am wasting both our times in being here.” And he prayed silently he wasn’t. He sighed, she was getting dangerously close to questions he did not want to answer. Each time he had spoke, his mouth barely moved in case his fangs showed. It had been thousands of years since he had been in his human form he doubted he could revert back now even if he wanted to. How could he tell her, without truly telling her? “I am offering you help, you are accepting help, if you choose to of course.” Everything is a choice, Silas skipped the question of the catch, the catch was her being blooded eventually because through the training her mind wouldn’t cope with the stress if she was still human. Though he did answer the question about what was in it for him with a simple word, “Redemption.” Redemtion. Peace of mind. Forgiveness for what he had not been able to prevent. What he had not been able to stop.
He didn’t want to think that he couldn’t save her. There was a chance of her being saved and that was all that mattered to him. Even if it was a slim chance, with Seer’s it always was a small chance of them being saved as many couldn’t handle it and often lost their minds and eventually death took them. He did not want to give up this fight, he wouldn’t let her fall behind and he would work with her at a pace that was good for her. He knew she wouldn’t handle intense training straight off, so he would start simple, with the basics. However, not until they were back in England. “For me to be able to train you,” Silas said, “You would have to come to England with me as I can not stay in Ireland, I am needed with my family back in England.” His family was a large one, “There are people there you can trust, our family is large and full of people who…” He trailed off, full of people who were Vampires, “Who don’t have anywhere else to turn.” When she asked him if she was dangerous he looked away from her before answering, “You could be.” He said, “If your gift is in the hands of the wrong people, you could be extremely dangerous.” Though it all depended on what her idea of ‘Wrong People’ were. Vampires were usually peaceful, they did not harm unless needed to, it was the Lycans who started the war and the Vampires simply retaliated. Lycans killed humans, Vampires did not unless it could be helped. Unfortunately, many humans had died because of the war. Though he mentioned none of this.

(Jeeez Louise, just a bit then lol)
Eve didn't know this man at all really, but somehow he was gaining her trust, through simple words that meant so much, for in the main they were words she had wanted and needed to hear; that there were others out there like her, maybe not entirely like her but at least she wasn't alone anymore. It had been strange being surrounded by people day in and day out, chattering away to them easily enough and enjoying the times with them, but she'd still felt alone, and when it came to the crux the only person who'd stood by her thus far was Sean. She guessed she deserved a little loyalty after nearly a year of going out with him, but she still hadn't expected him to stand by her in such a way, she'd even heard him agressively defending her once, which had made her feel both happy and sad; happy that he was completely behind, even through the crazy things she did and said, but sad because others couldn't see anything good in her, maybe they were just grouchy through lack of sleep, but she couldn't say she'd depend or rely upon anyone here...except Sean.
On hearing the man's words on Sean's second retreat; probably to his own room now after eavesdropping, it was sweet but dangerous, she looked up sharply, her gleaming eyes setting upon him, I was handling it ok until you had to say that, she silently berated him, screaming inside her head, for Sean meant the world to her too, and it was these damnable dreams that had actually drawn them closer together, not through shared experience unfortunately, but through his being there, solid as a rock, for her. It was ironic really, that only in dark times did she find her true friends, those who really cared for her. Though she refused admit the dreams were a blessing in disguise, that just wasn't the case.
In a small voice now, near afraid of the words she muttered, "yeh, he says he loves me like he means it," if she'd been alone then tears probably would have sprung to her eyes at such a sweet thought, but she had company, and unshakeable, grim company at that. But she was going to continue to be genuine, so she added, in a far lighter tone, "you know not many guys say that these days, I mean, they don't truly mean it, I can see it in his eyes, the burning truth there," little did she know that it was her 'gift' that showed her the truth of the matter, she just wholeheartedly believed in herself, not realising it was the simple truth that she saw. She didn't realise then, couldn't bring herself to think upon losing Sean then, although a part of her was beginning to accept it as an inevitability, she didn't want to bring him down with her, eventually she'd have to force him away, before she truly said something in anger that she didn't really mean, a lack of true sleep could make her pretty cranky at times, the one time she'd snapped his head off for showing incredulity at one particularly strange dream, she hadn't appreciated the joking comment of 'must be your hormones' it had taken her a few days, and innumerable apologies to forgive him that blunder. There were certain things you just didn't say to a girl, especially your girlfriend, and Sean had learnt that the hard way.
She needed reassurance right now, that everything was going to be ok, this man was going a way to explaining things, but a part of her still wanted Sean in the room, if nothing else he'd just be a comforting presence, her rock, but no, she had to tackle this herself; it hardly seemed fair. The thinly veiled threat of leaving, that it would only prove a waste of their time if she didn't put all her efforts into it, didn't really help, but she responded positively, "I really do want the help, and I wll work hard." She wasn't going to make any promises though, that was one thing she never did, for you never knew when circumstances could change and a promise would have to be broken, one never knows what the future holds; except that she in fact did, to an extent and rather sporadically, but far more than others that was for certain.
Eve noticed particularly that he neglected to answer her question about there being a catch; which made her believe all the more that there was one, her eyes narrowed then, and she looked at him straight, trying to somehow discern the truth, and think up what possible catches there could be; she'd be used, that had to be it. A momentarily alarm overcast her features then, but she straightened them quickly, gazing down and fiddling with a lock of hair in the meantime. He'd have noticed that, that was for sure, but then she took note of the single word escaping his closed lips, redemption, now why on earth would he say a thing like that? Also why the hell was everything so confusing? Was another question that was very much playing upon her mind, a mind in turmoil. So that look of deep sorrow in his eyes hadn't been a figment of her vivid imagination, it had been there, and he was seeking redemption by helping her; did that mean he'd failed another person? Maybe another person like her? Someone who suffered from countless dreams each and every night, but how had he failed them? These were such pivotal questions, but he was being so guarded and chosing his words so very carefully that she doubted she'd receive any answers, let alone answers in depth enough satisfy her bottomless curiousity, deepened, strengthened by the fear of the unknown.
On hearing that single word, a word she knew straight away was of the utmost importance, which defined this man quite completely, she'd looked up instantly, only to see his startlingly blue eyes downcast, she needed to know more than that, it was a teaser almost, but she knew she shouldn't pry, from experience she'd learnt that people only opened up when they wanted to, no matter how hard you pushed, she'd have to earn his respect and trust first, which would likely take a long, long time. Dying to ask the simple question 'why?' She refrained, quelling her curiousity especially as he started speaking again, words she really, really didn't want to hear. It was her turn to look away once more, her mouth slightly open in shock, she couldn't leave here, she had a life and said as much, "but..." seeing his glance she allowed him to finish speaking mulling over his words, turning them over and over in her mind, a mind so very full full to bursting. Realising she had to know if she were dangerous before she came anywhere near making up her mind, her instant, angry answer, as her grim features showed would have been 'no not on your life' but first she had to know; to know if she were a danger or not, it would influence her decision not dramatically but quite completely. Thoughts crashed down upon her, the pros and cons of leaving, she couldn't believe she was even contemplating it, but she had to, there was no other choice if she were a danger, not only to herself but worse to other people then she had no other alternative but to leave, and leave instantly.
But no she couldn't just abandon her family, and Sean would the hell would they all say, the couldn't possibly understand, she couldn't leave without saying goodbye, but then they'd try to persuade her to stay, and she couldn't do that either. She couldn't leave without saying a word, they'd think her cruel, callous and heartless, just disappearing or else they'd worry themselves sick over her. Such thoughts and many more besides screamed in her head each trying to outdo the other, the weight of it all was crushing her, "I..." she tried speaking her mind but failed utterly, there too mcuh going on at once, so much for her to contemplate before she could decide upon anything.
If the situation weren't so dire one might have found her changing expressions, ranging from shock to complete horror, to suprise then anger, a whirlwind of violent emotions, rather funny, if one was heartless and devoid of emotion, not taking into account the awful decision that lay ahead of her. A decision that she had to make.
The minutes ticked by, a thunderous weight of emotion smashing into her, the dreadful thoughts of leaving her entire family, Sean, her entire life behind, but the repercussions if she stayed, she would be a danger and she wouldn't be able to receive the vital help necessary to control these damned dreams, the hatred she felt towards these dreams, the nightmares burned within her, and the single question that continually span about her head was "why me?" She never even realised she'd screamed that aloud, her sudden outburst of completely uncontrollable, strong emotion. Rocking back and forth upon her bed, her mind swirled ferociously, a stormy sea raging within her; she'd never felt such immense emotions before, her heart raced, eyes widening in fright as her breath became increasingly ragged; "how am I supposed to this?" She wimpered softly, cradling her thin frame in her arms as she stared now blankly down at floor, tears springing unbidden to her eyes. Blinking through teary eyes she looked up at the man, only now realising she didn't even know his name, "I don't know what to do." She cried between the tears that were coming more steadily now; the emotion had to flow out somehow, better tears than anger at this stage, she needed to clear her mind and think, but it was impossible as the crystal clear images of her family and Sean drifted before her eyes, they taunted and haunted her, how could she leave them? Yet how could she stay and endanger them?

There were others out there like her, but at the same time different. Lycans, Vampires and Malkavians were all alike, as much as he hated to admit this, because they were cut of from Humans and it didnt matter how many people were in his family. They were alone. People all around you never really knew what was going on inside your mind, he was bitten by Alexandria and she had seen his memories, parts of his past but not all of them, as blood carries memories. He knew if she agreed and he had to blood her, he would see some of hers and blooding people was the hardest part to do in his opinion as peoples past should be able to remain private, their memories were thier own and nobody had a right to snoop around in them. Silas made sure people he changed knew that he would see their memories, of course once they agreed a Vampire takes it seriously and if they go back on their word it angers them. Strange how they used to be so peaceful, now they were full of hatred. Silas has more darkness inside him than the average person and being around Eve made him paranoid that she would be able to see into his past when she developed, but it was a risk he was going to have to take as Silas would be the one training her, spending more or less every waking moment with the girl. There was always a chance she wouldnt come with him, Silas relied on people in his past, but now he only relied on himself. At least you had one person you could trust above anyone, yourself.
Silas knew she like the idea of leaving Sean behind but she had to. Leaving people could be painful, he remembered every time he had to leave his family behind to go to War before he was a Vampire. Always the same looks in their eyes. Like they would recieve a letter saying he could not come back over Christmas. Or worse, if they received no letter, and Silas never returned. Silas always knew every time he left to go to war, there was a chance he might not return, his wife managed to discuise the fear, but he always knew it was there. It was his daughter he hated leaving more, the tears would flow and she would beg him not to leave, "Daddy! Dont go, please dont go." The pain he felt when leaving was awful, though he had to. His main regret was he never told them he loved them, that word he could not say. It was a word that was not in his vocabilary, no matter what he did that word would never come. Yet it flowed so easily from humans mouths, the way he saw it, Humans loved everyone it was ridiculous. Love was not something that should be just thrown around. Silas believed in only loving once, and he did, he never would again and he would never say that word then, and now he would never have the chance.
When Eve told him Sean told her he loved her, he flinched and a new wash of anger waved over him, his whole body went stiff and rigid. He refused to look at Eve and kept his gaze out of the window. "Love is not something that should be thrown around like a ragdoll." He said rather fiercly. He believed strongly in loving one person, and one person only and he believed this came with age, not with some teenagers hormones. Silas stood beside the open window, the breeze catching his coat making it sway somewhat in the wind. He did not have long to convince her to come with him, the sun was coming up he could smell the rise. He was cutting it fine that was for sure. Though Silas did not understand why she was telling him personal things he did not need to know, it only brought back memories, as if he didnt have enough of those already, having them rush back with her words was worse. "Well if he loves you like he says he does," Silas said a little icily, "He will understand if you decide to leave." It was not a case of bringing him down, he would not survive in Silas' world even if Silas said to her Sean could come too, Sean would be dead within the week. He already had too many peoples blood upon his hands, as he thought his he brought his hands up and examined them, he did not want an innocent Humans blood on them too.
Silas nodded when she said she wanted help almost eagerly. At least she was willing to work for what she wanted and what she needed. Though it would be hard, draining and a lot of the time she would feel exhausted. Training was hard work anyway, but it wasnt nearly half as exhausting as training the mind. Silas looked out over the city of Dublin from the window, he could see the pale blue creeping up signalling the pre dawn hours. Silas would have to leave soon, he would return to the basement and come back later that night. If he stayed here, the sun was facing the window when it rised, and he would be burnt alive, not a pleasant experiance. He watched as the sky steadily lightened, he would have to wrap this up soon.
Silas turned his attention back to Eve, seeing her narrow her eyes to which he raised his left eyebrow in question and folded his arms across his chest. His demenour would probably be percieved as annoyed, he was a cruel man, but he wasnt outrightly cruel. He could be heartless in the sense feelings did not matter to him. He had enough problems dealing with his own he did not want a childs pinned on him too. If she became to much of that kind of person, he would give her to Ranvier that way they can chat in depthly, knowing how many times Ranvier had tried to get his fellow General to open up and share his feelings, to which he simply replied with annoyance, "It is none of your business" then annoyingly, Ravier would go, "Thats annoyance! Thats a feeling, its an emotion!" Then Silas was likely to hit him or walk away, or both. The two of them were so different which was the reason they got along so well. Ranvier annoyed the living, well, dead nightlights out of him, but he was a Vampire you couldnt help but respect.
He did indeed notice the alarmed look, well if that alarmed her wait until she found out what he was. He was not looking forward to that part and didnt know how he was going to explain it. "Tell the truth, It always worked with me, father" Shaking his head, he did not want his dead childs voice within his mind right now. Sometimes though the truth can be worse than a lie. Though there was no way out of this, he didnt know how she would react or if she would even see them as the peaceful kind they were supposed to be. He knew she was curious about what he had meant about redemption, but he wasnt going to tell her. This mission, upon seeing her, had become personal to him now. Not just another recruitment regime. He would not allow harm to come to her. He could almost see the thoughts running through her mind, a lot of questions about Silas she wanted answering, to which he would never willingly give. He had not failed a Seer, he had failed someone more important. His own flesh and blood. His child. He had allowed her to die, the Lycans had ripped her to shreds and there was nothing he could do about it. He wasnt there. He was in another bloody country, killing fathers of other children and children of fathers. The questions roaming her mind wouldnt have an answer, not from him at least.
She didnt many options when it came to her leaving, face a painful and tearful goodbye, or leave and not see the pain on their faces but regret never getting the chance to say goodbye, for he thought once she left, she would not be able to come back, not for a long time anyway and by the time she did return everyone around her would have changed and it would be likely Sean would have found another. There was one way she could say goodbye but it was not the most favourable. She could leave in the dead of night, leaving nothing but a note behind. It was indeed the cowards way out due to it being the easiest route, but Silas would not hold it against her if she did that as she would have trying episodes infront of her, she would be pushed to the limit and a lot of the time she would have doubts. She may not even make it through the ordeal, that was always a risk. Even if he turned her into a Vampire and gave her a stronger body, her mind might not allow the training and it could drive her insane anyway. There was only a small chance of her survival, but if she did not try she would die from it anyone. One in a hundred Seer's survived, and Silas did not like these odds, not now he had seen her.
"You what?"
There could be no doubts when she made up her mind, one doubt would make her mind even more fragile. Though it was almost certain she would have doubts which meant Silas would have to be extreamly careful with her. He suddenly realised just how innocent she was, how fragile. Silas let out a long sigh, the sun was drawing dangerously close now and he had to leave for the shadows soon. Silas didnt move when she screamed, nor did he make any attempt to comfort her, instead he kept his reddened blue eyes on her, he couldnt risk any more sunlight right now, his body was too weak to do it. He looked out of the window and gave a soft hiss when he saw the first glimpse of daylight, standing up rather abrubtly he said simply to her, "I must go." He looked down upon her. "If you decide you agree to my proposion then meet me at the docks at Midnight tonight." He looked back to the window, the suns rays reflecting through the room but Silas was already out of the door and out of harms way, "I have some business to take care of, I should have been there already. I shall wait until one hour after Midnight for you, If you do not show I assume you have declined. Good day Miss Regan!" He gave a quick bow before sweeping back out of the room, his coat flailing out behind him as he made for the stairs. Running quickly, silently and swiftly down into the basemement underneath the student board.
Sunlight. His weakness.
