The silence that fell about his room was pleasing, Eve had been granted the room next to him in case she needed him quickly for something during the night. He had not had this silence while he had been away in Ireland, it had been one headache after another and upon his arrival, he had not said a word to anyone, despite all the yells from the Younglings of, "Silas is back!" and "Silas, how was the trip?" Silas had given a groan to their constant mitherings, endless questions and deep curiosity and simply guided Eve through the mass of the crowds, shouting at two of the youngling as he walked by. "Do not fight in the halls!" He yelled, they had jumped and looked around, muttered a 'yes Silas' and went on their way. He had had his arm around Eve the whole time, in a way of saying, 'Dont be frightened' and an act of guiding her through the mass. It had been fairly easy as many hadnt bothered him due to his frown, he had shown Eve to her room and told her to lock the door if it made her feel safer. Whether she did or not, Silas never knew. He had been back for a while now, and it seemed like he never got a moments peace. He had eventually told everyone he wanted a night alone, to which they respected, Alexandria had also told Silas that Ranvier was out on a mission, but didnt know when he would be back, which was bad. Silas had some bones to pick with that Vampire.
He was sat by the open window, feeling the English air upon his face, the curtains blowing in the wind and the only sound to be heard was the wind through the window and the pages turning in the book Silas was reading. Call him vain, but he was reading a book printed about himself, most of it was crock, as most of it had clearly been made up or blown out of proportion, though Silas found it all quite amusing. "Right, So I was in the enemy folds that day was I?" He muttered to himself, "Oh and that time too? Funny I thought I was asleep in base then. Im sure I'd only came off leave." Silas had a smirk on his face, a sketch of him wielding a sword in one area, and one with the blade piercing a mans heart. "Like I would use a sword like that!" He muttered, "It looks nothing more than a piece of metal!" He looked up to the wall and saw his own sword hanging there, something he had missed a lot while he had been away.
He flipped another page in the book, murming little things, though the Vampire had a smile on his face he was still annoyed about the fact he had not protected Antonia like he should have done. She was one of his main concerns. He heard some footsteps coming up the hall, though disregarded them and carried on his reading. He liked to see what people made of his life, even if half of the stuff was utter rubbish. His door clicked, and he looked up to see the more troublesome General. He raised an eyebrow as Silas' eyes fell on Ranvier. The book still in hand as they seemed to stare at eachother.

Covered in blood and bruises Ranvier made his way down to the dungeons with his captive slung over his shoulder, he was still passed out, which made Ranvier rather glad because it was a hell of a lot easier to get him into the mansion without having to explain everything before he did so. And at least this way he was sure that the soldier would come quietly. Ranvier had had to make his entrance through the back door so to speak of the mansion, so as to draw less attention to himself and the limp human that he carried. The younglings were inquisitive souls and this was a strictly-need-to-know-basis. He could not chance word spreading before Alex and Silas at least knew of his return. However if they were paying full attention then they would know already by now.
Unlocking a cell door, he opened and fetching bedding and a blanket for the unfortunate man, he placed them in the corner and laid the soldier upon it. There was no reason for this man to be harmed, it was completely unnecessary. It just so happened however that he could hold some very important information, being a part of the Zeta attack team for the government. As long as he likely held his tongue there was no reason he could not leave the mansion fully alive and well, with all of his entire digits. However it would be much preferred if he were to join their ranks. Being from a soldier background was a huge advantage. Much like with Silas. Ranvier knew very little of this man’s past however this was one of the few things he did know about his younger ‘blood brother’.
Ranvier searched the far corners of the mansion searching for where both Alex and Silas were. Alexandria was not on the premises; she was however out circling the city, no doubt on the hunt for Lycans to decapitate. They made for good sport at least, Ranvier had laughed to himself about this on many an occasion it was true, it was highly entertaining. Silas on the other hand was up in his quarters. Ranvier had to see him sooner or later though, he had been pulling a very bizarre face (it had been contorted with both anger and a little bit of “I’m going to eat you!” in there too) when Silas had briefly glimpsed Ranvier before he left for the Laboratory. However he had not been able to attack him, because he was on a mission from direct orders off of Alex. And even Silas would not get in the way of such a thing.
Laughing to himself a little, he closed the cell door, slipping the key into the back pocket of his trousers. He must remember that was there before he sat down anywhere, they were quite rough cut and sharp. They would be most definitely unwelcomed in certain places. Ranvier moved through the mansion swiftly up to Silas’ quarters, trying not to be noticed, he was still covered in cuts and bruises after all, and least of all wanted to cause any alarm. Leaning on the door slightly it creaked open. And there sat the grumpy old bugger. They stood there motionless, just starring at each other’s for minutes on end, and then Ranvier drew his eyes to the spine of the book. He had read this book many times, much to his own amusement. It was most definitely his favourite read, and was the reason he first saw Silas smile, which was an achievement in itself. “Lovely welcome as ever I see, but hello to you too, Mr Smilie!” Ranvier chuckled, and then pointing at the book in Silas’ hand, he declared loudly with most animated features, “MOO!” and just as quickly as the word had left his lips, he dived out of the door, before the Silas had the chance to throw the beast of a book at him.
Laughing loudly, he then popped his head around the corner of the door again, and grinning madly at him, eyes narrowed and his fangs fully on show. Ranvier shouted with a magnified voice down the corridor, “If anyone wants a milkshake, ask Mr Driscoll. He makes them himself!” So much for not drawing attention to himself, but this opportunity was too good to pass up. And then shooting another manic grin at Silas he laughed hysterically, and arms raised above his head, he ran away down the corridor, waiting for his grumpy old friend to catch him up.

It was like the two didnt quite know how to react. Silas was mixed feelings about Ranvier, both with fury and the fact he wanted to beat the living daylights out of the older Vampire, and a want to congratulate him on his mission and ask him about it. Though it was clear he couldnt fathom out which one he would prefer, as Silas stood there, his left hand grasping the book and his eyes boring into Ranvier. Silas caught Ranviers gaze moving down to the book, it was true, the first time Ranvier had seen Silas smile had been when he had read this book, some of the comments Silas had came out with had obviously stuck as soon, Ravier would 'moo' at him. "I do not believe a lovely welcome is in order." Silas half snarled, clearly... The younger by years, but older by act Vampire was not happy with his blood brother. Silas saw Ranvier point and his own eyes looked down at the book when Ranvier let out the most appaling mooing sound Silas had ever heard in all his life. "Ravier!" He yelled after the idiot mooed at him, throwing the book with surprising strength and speed, it richoted off the door and broke the back of a nearby chair in Silas' room.
Silas was not grinning, he was arched forward, his eyes ablaze and his teeth bared. A low grown eminated from his throat as the moron popped his head back around the door to make matters worse only for himself. Silas didnt want to even hurt him before, he just wanted to warn him, but now he wanted Ranvier's blood. It was no secret to anyone that Ranvier knew exactly which buttons to push to get the biggest reaction out of the Vampire. Silas didnt know how such an insolent thorn in his side could wind him up so much. Though everyone knew the two acted like brothers as that was how they looked at eachother, and though Ranvier was older, he acted like the annoying little brother people have and really got on Silas' nerves. "Your so dead!" Silas yelled back, as he ran out into the hallway after the idiotic Ranvier. Many people coming out of their rooms to watch as it was rare you got to see something like this, especially with Silas, people were running up the stairs to see Silas and Ranvier stood on opposite ends of the corridors. Ranvier clearly enjoying himself, Silas clearly irritated.
"As if I was not mad enough at you Flynn," Silas snarled, "You would have to go and pull yet another stunt." Though Silas was annoyed, he knew he would find this just as amusing if he was a bystander. "Mooing indeed." He muttered, to which he recieved a lot of stares for, and people began to ask Ranvier why Silas would make milkshakes. A young vampire pulled on Silas' coat, to which he looked around as the person said, "Can I have one when you're done Mr Driscoll?" Silas roared with anger and yelled, "I do NOT make bloody milkshakes!" Ranvier was clearly enjoying himself, Silas on the other hand, not so much.
He darted down the corridor before anyone even had a chance to see, Silas caught Ranvier by the scruff of the idiots neck. "Why must you annoy me so?" He asked, but Ranvier had managed to squirm out of Silas' grip and he knew it wouldnt be long before Silas was made to chase Ranvier once again.

Ranvier could not desire a better effect than the amount of annoyance Silas was displaying. Generally even though he was the grumpiest man in the world’s history, he tended to avoid getting so clearly riled up, he would not outwardly show such an open emotion. Ranvier fled down the corridor, knocking over bookcases lining the walls as he went. They would not be damaged so it would not matter, but it would annoy Silas is he had to continuously jump them all the time. As he ran past he waved at fellow Vampires leaving their rooms to observe the source of the commotion, and could not help but laugh as the people saw whom was giving chase. Coming to a slightly more open expanse of space, Ranvier skidded to a halt, just above some stairs. And cheekily bowed at Silas, who had thankfully also come to a complete hall at the other end of the widened corridor.
Then Silas shouted something at his above the noise of the crowd. “Mad at me? What the devil am I supposed to have I done now?” and he looked to the growing Vampire crowd for support, though still smiling, he put on a perplexed expression, and gaining ‘Awww’s!’ from the crowd. Ranvier had never been such a character in his younger years, he was alot like Silas is now. However when Ranvier came across Alex and Demetrius he had gained a family for the first time ever, and had no reason to be cold towards them and not care. And then when Silas came along in all his seriousness, and it completely pushed Ranvier to acting like the fool, just because it annoyed him ever so much and he saw for the first time how truly dull it was to have such a persona.
Then, things just got even funnier, after shouting about the milkshakes, he watched as a youngling moved out of the crowd tugging Silas’ coat tails. Ranvier could not help but emit a loud roar of laughter, bending over double in fits of hysterics. Out of all the things you could of done, that was most definitely the least wisest. Luckily for him, Silas tended not to harm the younglings, and so he stomped his feet and bellowed at Ranvier instead. Managing to take a breath again after about a minute of raucous laughter, he looked up to see Silas’ expression, contorted with so much rage, it was hilarious. Not many people could wind Silas up, but Ranvier was the master at it.
Ranvier was playing the crowd again, trying to get responses from them all to wind Silas up even more, but he became so absorbed in it that he stopped paying attention to his chaser; he noticed the expressions of the closest vampires change. And then a short second later, he felt a large yank on the back of his neck. Pulling him backward, and then laughing at Silas’ remark. “Oh come on, even you know how amusing it is, young man.” Ranvier laughed, and then he wiggled about attempting to get Silas to releases the back of his neck. He had a tight grip though perhaps he had become distracted by something because his grip loosened again, and not willing to give him a second chance Ranvier darted away, flinging himself onto the banister and sliding down to the bottom of the stairs. And standing their hands on his hips, he shouted loudly up to Silas in a childish tone, “Missed me! Missed me! Now you have to kiss me!” And with this Ranvier poked out his tongue before continuing. “..Or bite me, whichever i’m not choosy!” and then waving his hands around in the air he ran away like a chimp.
((I do apologise that was crap.))

Usually, Silas hated being so clearly riled up, but the thing with Ranvier was, he knew exactly what pranks to pull to get just the right kind of reaction from him. It was like when you’re an older sibling trying your hardest to impress the girl you like, and then you have this annoying little brother who shows up and delights in embarrassing you. Ranvier knew just what buttons to push to highly annoy Silas, and though everyone else found it amusing, there was only so much one Vampire could take, and now Ranvier was seriously walking along the thin line that Silas was trying so hard to keep from snapping. Why Ranvier insisted on winding Silas up when he knows that if Silas got hold of him, he would certainly be in quite a lot of pain.
“Need I remind you that Antonia is in the Hospital Area of this manor?” Silas growled, “Under your watch, she was badly injured by a filthy dog of all things, I ask of you one thing while I am away, and it is a task which was clearly too much for you, sometimes I do wonder if these younglings would serve better in your position.” Silas snapped his head around at the younglings who seemed to find Ranvier’s expression worthy of sympathy, though once they caught Silas’ glare, they soon shut up. Silas kept himself to himself, but everyone knew he was not one to be toyed with, more often than not Younglings ended up in Hospital after training with him. Though Silas was ruthless when training because he knew they had to be toughened up or they would never last in this world. Many of the younglings liked training with Silas, because of the fact he wouldn’t go easy on them. Though, as Ranvier pointed out more than once, Silas could be too hard on them. Though, Silas thought Ranvier was too soft on them, so it balanced out.
What a way to annoy Silas even more.
Once Silas basically yelled the Manor down, the youngling who had asked him for the Milkshake scampered and hid behind an older Vampire. “If those Lycans are not the death of you, Flynn. I will be!” He growled, his blue eyes catching the gleam of the light and bouncing off them, his face contorted in anger and his teeth bared, almost begging Ranvier to say something else if he was stupid enough. Ranvier was proud of the fact he could wind Silas up, when the two were together it was like having children around, they couldn’t seem to play together very well half the time.
Missed me! Missed me! Now you have to kiss me!” And with this Ranvier poked out his tongue before continuing. “..Or bite me, whichever i’m not choosy!”
As Ranvier chimed this and wriggled out of his grip, Silas roared and bent forward. “I would rather kiss Demetrius than kiss you.” Silas growled, standing at the top of the stairs and looking down to the bottom of them where Ranvier was. Without much warning, Silas bound forward, clearing the steps and landing directly in front of the Vampire. Giving a good slap around his head, Silas gave a smirk. If he was honest, his child side was enjoying this afterall, he had needed a vent to get his frustration out because of what Demetrius did to Antonia and Ranvier was providing him with exactly that. Grabbing ahold of Ranvier by the scruff of his neck, he walked to the front doors and kicked them open, and with a thrust, he threw Ranvier outside into the darkness. Stepping out after him, his coat billowing behind him as he stepped onto the lawns, he made a hand gesture as if to say, ‘come and get me.’ Now they were outside with little chance of breaking anything, and Silas was riled up, Ranvier would surely regret doing this now, as Silas wanted to pitch their strengths against each others.

The sheer rage and hatred towards Ranvier’s general attitude, was now visually harming Silas, he was so angry that he had now become a dark crimson colour. And for a vampire that was pretty damn impressive. Ranvier could only stand there, as Silas began to spout his fury about Antonia at him. Yes Ranvier realised it was his duty to protect her, which he did when she fell off the building the first time but he also had a duty to Alex, to his leader. If he had lost Alex the war would now be over, sure Silas and Ranvier can put up a serious fight and kill the whole clans if they wanted but Demetrius, well he was tricky. Waiting until Silas had run out of hot air, he retorted still with a small smile. “Sorry to get serious on your ass love, BUT this is hardly the time or place to discuss these matters. I was on my way to tell you something of great importance but seen as you do not seemingly care. I shall protect myself from what you have accused me.” Taking a comical long breath to get a few giggles from surroundings younglings he began. “I saved Toni the first time she fell off the bleeding building! The second time I could do nothing, it was Demetrius, Silas. Demetrius! We were out numbered and I could hardly leave Alex, I always protect, but you blooded her take some responsibility for your own actions.” The last bit Ranvier never thought he would say to some one else, they were things he had been told over the years at the orphanage mingled with rants from Silas. After looking up at Silas’ face, whom was now spitting feathers. Ranvier had to refrain so much from laughing, and undoing all his seriousness. The glares he was giving even the younglings, who now they had heard Ranvier rant at his fellow general, were a little on the worried side, the cheering had ceased. For they knew for Ranvier to shout and be serious, it could not be a good thing in the slightest. Though after seeing their faces he knew he could not continue with such a mood. And glaring at Silas once more in warning, he then shot the onlookers a broad cheeky truly Ranvier grin, and consequently he quickly threw himself down the banister.
As he reached the bottom of the stairs, he had a threat flung his way. “Oooo, I’ll keep you to that lovie, it will be amusing no doubt! But on the other hand.. Lycans smell better. And thats not good!” Ranvier chuckled perhaps a little insanely to compensate for his moment of madness earlier where he had been serious. And waited for Silas to ensue. This cackle only grew when Silas bellowed loudly that he would rather kiss Demetrius. “Ooo I never knew you felt that way, I shall have to arrange something, shan’t I!” This he said in a truly camp accent and flicked his wrist forwards mockingly. “No wonder, that explains all the jealousy of our dearest Alex i suppose. Ooo and i never suspected a thing.” He had continued in his camp voice and at the end of his statement had playfully slapped his own cheek in pretend shock. “Now words of wisdom. When you met him think ‘I’m a little tea pot...’ Well you know the rest.” Still not leaving his camp voice behind. Oh of all the things he could do to anger Silas this would be one of the most effective.
As Ranvier fled in his chimp fashion, he heard heavy foot falls behind him and then the caped grumpster landed straight in front of him. He did not bother to move as a hand came his way, and felt it connect hard with his head. A chuckled maybe a little too maniacally “Welcome to the child side man!” And as he laughed Silas continued his hand round grabbed him by the scruff of the neck, making a noise such as a strangled cat would, as Silas jerked him forwards and towards the large manor does. The hold of his neck rendered him practically useless, and he was flung across the lawns at the front of the manor. Hitting the floor, he rolled and then jumped with a twirl landing in his usual artful stance. Ranvier smiled as he signalled for Ranvier to come at him. “You know Alex won’t be happy when she hears you have been attacking poor little me, after I tried to save your little protégée too, such respect for your elders as ever I see.” Then smirking at him, he looked around, “I am wondering however why you brought me out here? Worried of the younglings thinking less of you perhaps?” Ranvier still did not move towards Silas instead however he moved his hands to his long sword, still smirking at Silas, with a maniacal gleam in his eye. He withdrew it quickly, but rather than lunging at his Blood brother he threw his sword on the ground 10 metres behind him. Along with his short sword and many shurikens, which were still covered in bloodstains from the battle in the old lab not hours before. “Let’s make this interesting shall we?” Ranvier grinned.
